Our firm is home to an accomplished and versatile group of lawyers and legal professionals who are steadfast in their commitment to our mission. We have three fully qualified Canadian lawyers - Eric P. Polten, Gerhard M. Schertzer and Robert A. Rastorp - as well as a German-trained legal and administrative assistant - Torsten Pyttlik.
In dealing with cross-jurisdictional legal issues our firm augments its expertise through our network of contacts with law firms and legal practitioners across Canada and the German-speaking world - including Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Key members of our Europe-based network are more than 200 notaries, lawyers and judges who participated as Referendare , Praktikanten, Doktoranden and/or Studenten in our sought-after mentoring program. They now occupy a broad range of responsible positions throughout the legal system in Germany.
We Speak Your Language
A vital qualification for conducting a legal practice with international scope is the ability to operate at a sophisticated level in the languages of the clients to be served. Two of our lawyers are fluently bilingual at a professional level in English and German. Our legal and administrative assistant, who supports our legal team, has a superior command of the German language as a native speaker and graduate of the University of Dresden.
