Robert A. Rastorp's practice is broadly focused on Civil Litigation, and includes cases involving cross-border issues both with other Canadian provinces and with the United States.
Mr. Rastorp first studied Political Science, in which he received a BA from Queen's University in 1997 with First Class Honours and an MA from Columbia University in 1998. Following completion of the Business Bridge Certificate Program at the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration, Dartmouth College, in 1998, he worked in policy development and government affairs for several industry associations before commencing his legal studies.
Upon completion of his JD at the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto in 2003, he continued his legal studies at the University of Toronto with a 2004 LLM thesis on international trade which he wrote under the supervision of Professor Michael J. Trebilcock, and for which he received a Canada Graduate Scholarship (Master's). He then continued and extended his work in public and political affairs.
Mr. Rastorp was called to the Bar of Ontario and appointed a Notary Public in 2008. He is an Intermediate Member of the Advocates' Society and is involved in the Young Patron's Circle of the Royal Ontario Museum. He is fluent in English and proficient at Spanish.
